Wer gelebt hat, kennt den Blues. Und Bluesdoctor Larry Schmuki, ein Urgestein der Schweizer Blues-Scene hat gelebt. Seit 40 Jahren zieht unser Bluesdoctor durchs Land.
Schmuki hat den Blues im Griff und im Blut und bringt ihn gekonnt bis in die Finger. Sein unverkennbares, virtuoses und gefühlvolles Gitarrenspiel begeistert immer wieder von Neuem. In der Schweiz gibt es nicht viele Musiker, die für den Inbegriff des Blues stehen.
Hugh & Katy Moffatt
Das Geschwisterpaar Hugh und Katy Moffatt sind eigenwillige Persönlichkeiten der Country-Szene, die beide in ihren Nischen ein eindrückliches Werk geschaffen haben. Während Katy auf der Bühne und an verschiedensten Festivals schon grosse Beachtung fand, hat Hugh Moffatts Songs für Countrygrössen wie Jerry Lee Lewis, Dolly Parton und etwa Merle Haggard geschrieben. Beide haben sie eine Reihe eigener exzellenter CDs eingespielt. Gemeinsam gibt es aber bislang nur das 1992 erschienene Werk „Dance Me Outside“ und in naher Zukunft ein neues Album.
Im Mai ist es wieder soweit. Die Bühne ist offen für Euch. Gefragt sind Darbietungen jeder Art, sei es Zauberei, Musik, Tanz, Poetry Slam und und und… Es hat Platz für alles, was erlaubt ist. Mit diesem kunterbunten Abend lassen wir die zweite Saison zu Ende gehen. Wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf ein abwechslungsreiches Programm. Ab sofort bis etwa Ende April kann man sich für die offene Bühne anmelden:

Rob Ickes has a history of variety in the solo projects he records outside of his commitment with Blue Highway. Some have ben instrumental albums, others involve vocalists. A couple have explored jazz rhythms and harmony, while others stick closer to traditional string music.
The next one up will be a duo project with country/bluegrass singer Trey Hensley.
Though still a young man, Hensley has generated his share of buzz in the industry. Marty Stuart has championed the singer, calling him a “bona fide hillbilly rock star.” Trey also appeared on Blue Highway’s current CD, The Game, singing lead on My Last Day In The Mine, and showing that his bluegrass roots run as deep as his country ones.
