Seit nunmehr 33 Jahren ist der Eintritt zu unserem Bluegrass Festival gratis, da das Festival von Anfang bis heute sehr familienfreundlich gestaltet und organisiert ist. Darauf sind wir sehr stolz. Um gegen Witterungseinflüsse gewappnet zu sein, wird auf dem Inseli ein Festzelt für ca. 420 Personen aufgestellt. Daneben hat es noch viel Platz auf dem Freigelände.

2009 gründete im Zürcher Oberland eine Gruppe von Musik-Enthusiasten, welche sich der Volksmusik wie Americana, Bluegrass, Country und Blues verschrieben haben, „Nobody’s Fault“. Ihr vielseitiges Repertoire hat aber auch Platz für irische, italienische und spanische Lieder sowie auch Schweizer Mundartstücke. Sie wollen damit ihre Zuhörer unterhalten, mitreissen und an ihrer Freude an der Musik teilhaben lassen.
Nobody’s Fault hat sich mit ihren regelmässigen Auftritten im Restaurant St. Antonius in Egg/ZH, wo sie jeden Monat jeweils einen gut besuchten Anlass organisieren, in der Szene einen Namen gemacht. Die auch sonst gut gebuchte Band setzt an ihren Konzerten Instrumente wie Gitarre, Harp, Perkussion, Dobro, E-Gitarre und Kontrabass ein. Neben virtuosen Instrumentalstücken spielt in dieser Band der oftmals mehrstimmige Gesang eine wesentliche Rolle. Seit Sommer 2017 spielt „Nobody’s Fault“ in der heutigen Besetzung.

Nicht nur musikalisch ein Paar, sondern auch im „richtigen Leben“: Jason Eady und Courtney Patton sind zwei eigenständige Künstlerpersönlichkeiten, die jede für sich schon einen Konzertbesuch wert ist. Im Doppelpack erst recht! Das ist nun wirklich etwas für Freunde der echten „die-hard country music“. Jason kommt aus dem Mississippi-Delta, wo er bereits mit 14 Jahren in Bars spielte. Seine Songs sind unter anderem vom Gospel und Blues beeinflusst, die in dieser Region ihre Wurzeln haben. Courtney steuert ihr Gitarrenspiel, vor allem aber ihre expansive Stimme mit dem breiten Texas-Twang bei. Die Zweistimmigkeit und die Authentizität dieser Musik wird manchen harten Cowboy zum Schmelzen bringen. Also zieht Eure Stetsons an und reitet an diesem Freitagabend in den Sonnenuntergang Richtung Teufen!
Monika und Rolf Nef organisieren ein öffentliches Hauskonzert. Da die Platzzahl auf 70 beschränkt ist, wird eine telefonische Voranmeldung sehr empfohlen.

Created in 2011, the duo of French-speaking Swiss Léa Rovero and English Frank Powlesland, combine their talents and their love for bluegrass to create this unique „one of a kind“ show. The Crazy Pony Show has already performed all over Europe and beyond, winning first prize in two competitions; „Winzerfest in Dottingen (CH)“ in 2014 and „Kleinkunst Emmendingen (D)“ in 2015.

The Howlin‘ Brothers spielen in den Hinterhofclubs von Nashville abseits des Country Establishments. Die drei wilden Kerle pflegen dort einen rauen rhythmusstarken Stil, in dem sich praktisch die gesamte Roots Music des Südens findet. Ihr Southern Roots Dinner mit Rock ’n‘ Roll Energie ist gewürzt mit Blues, Oldtime, Bluegrass, Old Country und einer Prise Dixieland Jazz. Auf der Bühne erklingen neben der grossartigen Stimme von Ian Craft Banjo, Fiddle, Kontrabass, Gitarre und Mundharmonika.
